We've all been there: on a date at a nice restaurant trying to decipher a wine list, in a liquor store trying to pick an appropriate wine to bring to a party or to complement a dish at home - and we're having trouble making the right choice. I've included this section to help de-mystify the different varieties of wine and to give you a short primer about which wines mix well with which foods and about what to include in a starter cellar at home. Start with this brief list of white and red wines to help you learn more about picking the appropriate bottles to accompany your meals.
