 PREMIERES THE FIFTH ANNIVERSARY OF
SIMPLY MING
ON AMERICAN PUBLIC TELEVISION

--Ming Visits the Kitchens of World-Renowned Chefs, Introduces One-Pot Segments, and Shows Viewers How to Make East-West Cooking Simpler Than Ever--

Get ready to stir things up with Emmy Award-winning Chef Ming Tsai, as he celebrates the fifth anniversary season of SIMPLY MING! This season, East-West cooking gets a makeover as Ming introduces simple one-pot segments, focuses on two core ingredients for each dish, and brings viewers out of the studio and into the kitchens of some of the world’s most celebrated chefs.

This season Ming makes things even simpler in the kitchen by focusing on two main ingredients: one East, one West. From cilantro and bacon to Chinese black beans and butter, Ming creates a repertoire of flavor-packed dishes that combine the best of both worlds. And, just when you thought it couldn’t get any simpler, Ming’s new one-pot segments offer solutions for making an entire dish all in one vessel. From a frying pan to Ming’s favorite wok, these segments are sure to make life easier.

“For our fifth anniversary, we’re bringing viewers more of what they love about SIMPLY MING,” said Series Executive Producer and Host Ming Tsai. “One-pot meals are a favorite because they keep things super-simple, and best of all the clean up is easy. And, even though we spend plenty of time in the SIMPLY MING kitchen, I love visiting the kitchens of our guest chefs, giving viewers an up-close look at how they create dishes in their own environment.”

From Marcus Samuelsson’s art-filled Harlem apartment to Michael Chiarello’s Napa Valley home, Ming travels the country this season, taking viewers inside the kitchens of world-renowned chefs. Whether inside Ming’s kitchen or their own, a whole new line-up of guest chefs put a unique spin on Ming’s East-West creations. This season’s culinary luminaries include Gordon Hamersley, Joanne Weir, Ted Allen, Donatella Arpaia, Hubert Keller, Jacques Torres, Todd English, Michael Schlow, and many more.

Ming also explores the roots of East-West cuisine by bringing viewers straight to the source—From a tea lesson in Guangdong, to street food in Beijing, Ming brings an all-new set of discoveries to the small screen.
