WE'RE CELEBRATING LUCKY 13 WITH A NEW LOFT LOCATION AND TRIPS TO SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA AND TEXAS.
SIMPLY MING returns for its thirteenth season, premiering on Saturday, October 3, 2015 on public television stations nationwide (check your local listings) and on Create TV <http://createtv.com/> in early 2016.
Hot New Location
SIMPLY MING Season 13 is taking Cooking At Home to a whole new level. Award-winning host Chef Ming Tsai moves out of the studio and moves into his loft kitchen in downtown Boston. He shares the space and its picturesque views of Boston's skyline with a variety of his chef friends. The recipes focus on the ever-popular food trend of "comfort foods". Guest chefs cook up their favorite dishes and share all the stories that come with them. Guest chefs include some of industry's hottest talent including Carla Hall, Tiffani Faison, Edward Lee, Barbara Lynch, Ken Oringer, Matt Jennings and the incomparable Mario Batali. Cooking at Home would also not be complete without Mom & Pops! They'll be joining Ming in the kitchen for 2 new episodes.
Out "On The Road"
Season 13 has more fan-favorite "On the Road" episodes. This time Ming is heading out to two hot, food-centric cities right here in the USA - Los Angeles, CA and Dallas, TX. He's exploring all the ins and outs of their diverse culinary scenes including farmer's markets, food trucks, state fairs, cheese makers, beef ranches and even a new restaurant "incubator." He'll also be cooking with some of the cities' top chefs including Dean Fearing, Stephen Pyles, Roy Choi, Matt Molina and Jon Shook.
"Lucky Season 13 has got to be one of our best," says Tsai. "By moving the studio locations to the downtown loft, it's literally 'cooking at home'. I get to hang with my guests, have a drink and, of course, cook up some great food. The fun then continues on the road when I head to Los Angeles and Dallas. I just love what these folks are doing with food. I am so excited to be able to get up close and personal with some of the personalities that are really establishing these cities as true culinary destinations."
